Burg Feuerstein was another point in the European tour of SZD-54-2 Perkoz. It is the second largest German school glider, managed by Michael Zistler, excellent aerobatic pilot and flight instructor.
This scenic airfield is situated in the mountains of Bavaria, several kilometers north of Nuremberg. It is impressive not only because of the landscape, but also because of the modern infrastructure like hangars, tower, taxi ways and runway and most importantly because of the great organization of gliding.
The school specializes in advance/unlimited aerobatic, cross country, ridge and wave. Well-equipped and with the best instructors seems to be a great place for all gliding hotheads.
